Vanessa Mason

Vanessa Mason is CEO and founder at Riveted Partners, a consultancy that sparks behavior change by accelerating digital health innovation and co-founder at WISE Health, a nonprofit that develops innovative solutions to build healthy communities. Prior, she led product development and marketing for ZeroDivide's eHealth portfolio of digital health products focused on reducing health disparities. Vanessa fostered talent acquisition and investment opportunities through XX in Health, a community of female digital health entrepreneurs and healthcare executives at Rock Health, a digital health incubator. She also led global health service design initiatives in Mozambique, Argentina and Brazil and supported mobile health product development for clients in west and east Africa.

Vanessa earned her BA in psychology from Yale University and her MPH in global health from Columbia University. She also serves on the Health IT advisory board for Transdisciplinary Collaborative Center (TCC) for Health Disparities Research at Morehouse School of Medicine. She has been recognized as 40 Under 40 Tech Diversity Silicon Valley and as a TEDMED Research Scholar.

Marquesa is co-founder of P2Health and was previously at the Kapor Center for Social Impact and Kapor Capital, working on improving diversity and inclusion in tech through entrepreneurship.

Marquesa’s introduction into tech began after graduate school while working with a global health organization in the Middle East to leverage technology in the refugee crisis–a milestone experience solidified her dedication to digital health for social impact. Upon returning from the Middle East, she continued to work in digital health at Kaiser Permanente building their first mobile analytics program and subsequently at various digital health early-stage startups. She is an active member of the tech community, especially within groups for women and underrepresented persons, and in 2012 co-founded Movement50, a new leaders group promoting diversity and social good in Oakland and San Francisco.  

Marquesa studied Art History and Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and earned her Masters in Public Health (MPH) in Global Health at The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health in Washington, D.C.  Marquesa is a San Francisco Bay Area native, a classical pianist, and a former ballerina.
